Alchemy Global to support veterans’ mental health charity Combat Stress

Alchemy Global Ltd is pleased to announce that for the foreseeable future it will be supporting Combat Stress, the military veterans’ mental health charity.

Managing director Stuart Nash, who saw action in Bosnia, Kosovo, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan, said: “I see military veterans homeless on the streets of London all the time and know they all could do with more help.

“A few of my former colleagues have been involved in some excellent Combat Stress programmes in the past six months and it’s helped them really turn a corner.

“We are delighted to have partnered with Combat Stress and we are looking forward to helping support them and all the worthwhile work they do.”

Donations for Psychiatric nurse service

Alchemy Global has agreed to donate a fixed amount of money to Combat Stress every month, giving veterans individual access to a psychiatric nurse.

Robert Marsh, Director, Income Generation at Combat Stress, said: “We’d like to thank Alchemy Global for choosing to make Combat Stress their charity of choice. Each year we receive over 2,000 referrals from former servicemen and women with trauma-related mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.

“It’s vital that we raise awareness and funds for the charity so we can continue to support every veteran who comes to us for help. We’re grateful to Alchemy Global for helping us to achieve this by making regular donations and taking part in challenge events.”

Combat Stress fitness event

Several of the operatives at Alchemy Global, including Stuart, will be taking part in a fitness event in the coming months, with donations going to Combat Stress.

Kurt Nissen, Operation Director for Alchemy, said: “It will give us the perfect opportunity to raise fitness levels, enhance our teamwork and do some fund raising at the same time. It’s an opportunity to give something to help service men and women who have fallen on hard times.

“That’s why Combat Stress is so important for veterans.”
